Overview

Titan Machinery operates one of the largest networks of full service agricultural and construction equipment stores in North America. We operate over 100 stores across North America and Europe. Responsible for developing and maintaining rental production across all company fleet product lines within an assigned geographic area. Working with the Area Sales Manager/Rental Region & District Manager, this person establishes and submits an annual rental goal and business development strategy and works with the Area Sales Manager, operations, and service staff to implement that plan within the context of the overall business plan.

Responsibilities

  • Develops, submits, implements, manages and reports weekly on rental goals and business plan
  • Represents the company to customers within assigned geographic area
  • Maintains current product knowledge of existing and new product lines as well as related applications 
  • Calls on existing customers and new prospects provided by rental supervisor and F W Dodge reports
  • Presents information answers questions regarding existing and new product lines
  • Responds to customers and managers concerns in a timely manner
  • Negotiates rental rates and terms within the context of company policy
  • Systematically prospects for new accounts
  • Delivers and or picks up equipment when required to assist rental department
  • Analyze, organize, coordinate and report on activities in APR in a systematic way
  • Assists in collections from delinquent accounts
  • Maintain close, positive working relationships with rental, service and administrative staff
  • Other projects/duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years rental experience in construction or a related industry
  • Demonstrated strong leadership skills including personal integrity and character
  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced, changing environment
  • Demonstrated strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated client service skills and the ability to develop strong business relationships
  • Have established relationships with the construction and industrial customers in the local area
  • Demonstrated strong negotiation and closing skills
  • Demonstrated sales skills including the ability to sell opportunities, ideas, and concepts
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines efficiently
  • Keen attention to detail and a high level of initiative and ability to work independently
  • Strong computer skills including good working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Ability to travel up to 75% of the time
  • Ability to work flexible hours
  • Ability to perform in a fast-paced, stressful work environment
  • Ability to handle and resolve frequent interpersonal conflict
  • Ability to respond quickly, accurately, and professionally to demands and requests from customers and employees
