  • Overview

    This position is responsible for servicing incoming Sales calls and promoting all aspects of the business in a professional manner while enhancing business relationships with current customers and acquiring new customers for Titan Machinery’s business. This position will also be a resource for supporting Used Equipment valuation, pricing, financing and leasing, data management, marketing, and communication.

    Responsibilities

    • Market and sell new and used whole goods as customer solutions and build and maintain long term relationships to maximize customer satisfaction and company profitability
    • Use CRM and Titan System/tools for recording customer contact (sales calls, etc.), to develop and maintain client profiles and fully document, track, and follow up on all sales activities in an accurate and timely manner
    • Present a positive and professional image of Titan Machinery in the presence of customers and community
    • Effectively utilize resources and processes that will directly contribute to customer awareness, the proposal and negotiation process, closing sales, profitably increasing volume, revenue, and customer satisfaction
    • Complete thorough documentation on all reports and forms required with work assignments
    • Coordinate and/or conduct field demonstrations, clinics, seminars, and participate in trade shows
    • Seek and participate in appropriate training opportunities to enhance equipment expertise and sales performance
    • Maintain technical and product knowledge and complete competency assessments as required
    • Schedule pickup and delivery of equipment as needed and follow-up after the sale to ensure customer satisfaction
    • Identify customer service opportunities and implement solutions
    • Be a resource to Region Managers, Major Account Managers, Equipment Sales Consultants on:
      • Used Equipment Values
      • Used Financing and Leasing
      • Competitive Pricing
      • Trends, Market Analysis, and Demographics
    • Utilize Titan’s database of current and past used equipment sales system to allow for easy equipment appraisal comparison for Equipment Sales Consultants
    • Analyze Operations Used Inventory reporting to include review of Daily Sales Summary and rental fleet values as requested by Senior Manager, Used Equipment and/or Director, Wholegoods Inventory
    • Recommend inventory controls and reporting to use JDE to its fullest capability
    • Follow all safety rules and regulations while performing work assignments
    • Other duties as assigned

    Qualifications

    Required:

    • 3 plus years of experience in the Agriculture and Construction Equipment business or a related industry
    • Ability to handle and resolve frequent interpersonal conflict
    • Ability to perform in a fast-paced, stressful work environment
    • Ability to respond quickly, accurately, and professionally to demands and requests from customers and employees
    • Ability to travel as necessary and work flexible hours

    Physical Requirements

    Medium Work – Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
